JRWeather WINTER STORM WARNING
JRWeather continues a Winter Storm Warning For Bennington, Windham, and Eastern Rutland Counties in Southern Vermont and has upgraded the Winter Weather Advisory to a Winter Storm Warning for Eastern Addison County. The Warning has also been extended until 9AM Saturday Morning.

A low pressure system now over Central Kansas will continue to race across the country, and move off the east coast of Northern New Jersey, and out to sea by Saturday Morning. The storm will interact with a strong high pressure system over Canada to produce heavy snow for the Warning area. Snowfall rates during Friday may be in excess of 1 inch per hour. Snow totals of 6-12 inches are possible in the Warning area by early Saturday Morning. The highest amounts will be across the western slopes of the Green Mountains, and the further south you progress in Bennington, and Windham Counties.

Snow should rapidly taper off and should have pretty much come to an end by Saturday morning, Thus the Warning will end at 9AM when additional snow will be minimal if any at all. A Winter Storm Warning means significant Winter Storm conditions are expected, in this case, significant heavy snow is expected, snowfall rates will be in the 1-3 inch per hour range for a time Friday, and this will cause whiteout conditions at times. Travel will become hazardous to to potentially impossible during the heaviest snow. It is recommended to stay off the roads unless you have an emergency. Stay tuned!

JRWeather WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY
JRWeather has Continues a Winter Weather Advisory For Windsor, Orange, Addison, and Western Rutland Counties in Vermont, and Essex County in Northern New York, and has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Southwestern St. Lawrence, Southeastern St. Lawrence, Southern Franklin, and Western Clinton Counties in New York, and Chittenden, Lamoille, Caledonia, and Eastern Franklin Counties. The Advisory has also been extended until 9AM Saturday morning.

A low pressure system now over Central Kansas will continue to race across the country, and move off the east coast of Northern New Jersey, and out to sea by Saturday Morning. The storm will interact with a strong high pressure system over Canada to produce moderate snow for the Advisory area. Snowfall rates during Friday may be in excess of 1 inch per hour. Snow totals of 3-6 inches are possible in the advisory area by early Saturday Morning. The highest amounts will be across the western slopes of the Green Mountains, and the further south you progress throughout the Advisory area.

Snow should rapidly taper off and should have pretty much come to an end by Saturday morning, Thus the advisory will end at 9AM when additional snow will be minimal if any at all. A Winter Weather Advisory is issued when significant but not severe winter weather is expected. In this case the winter weather advisory is for moderate amounts of snow. Snowfall rates will be up to one inch per hour at times during the height of the storm. This may cause brief whiteout conditions, and make travel treacherous at times. Use extreme caution if out on the roads, and leave plenty of time to reach your destination. Stay tuned!
