Local Update...
Snow Continues Across Much Of The Region...
The National Weather Service continues all the Advisories that were in the previous post, JRWeather also continues all the same Warnings, and Advisories in the previous post.
National Weather Service Doppler radar, and surface reports indicate that light to moderate snow continues to fall across much of the area with some heavier snow falling across far Northern New York, and Vermont at this time. Snowfall reports from Swanton indicate 4.5 inches of snow has fallen, and a report from a spotter in Burlington indicated 4.0 inches. Other reports via the National Weather Service indicate 5.5 inches in North Underhill, 5.0 inches in Orwell, 4.0 inches in Waterbury Center, and 3.8 inches at the National Weather Service office. In Northern New York snowfall accumulations are 4.8 inches in Potsdam, 4.5 inches in Malone, and 3.0 inches in Ellenbug Depot.
Snow will continue to fall light to moderate at times, but the back edge of the precipitation is already entering northern New York, snow will taper off to more showery snow, and should have pretty much ended by 2PM. An additional 1-3 inches of snow can be expected across the entire region by 2PM. Travel this morning will be hazardous at best.
All weather alert, and accumulation maps remain the same across the region. So view previous post for maps. Stay tuned!
