   Brifly Heavy Snow, and Strong Winds Producing Near Whiteout Conditions Across Northern, and Central Vermont...
     The National Weather Service Doppler radar indicates a band of moderate to heavy snow moving east-southeast across Vermont. The band is currently situated across the Champlain Valley. The band of snow will move through the Western Slopes of the green mountains over the next several hours. Recently the wind has increased across the Champlain Valley of Vermont, and Northern New York, some blowing snow is being reported and in Swanton visibilities are being frequently reduced to around a quarter mile or less. An additional 1 inch of snow can be expected in the Champlain Valley, and Northern New York, with an additional 1 - 3 inches across the Western Slopes of the green mountains over the next several hours. Temperatures continue to drop rapidly and right now wind chill values are in the -2 to 8 Above range in Northern New York, and in Vermont they are ranging from as low as 8 above to 20 above.
