Major Winter Storm Continues Across The Region...
     Just a quick update, mainly to lower precipitation totals a bit. Temperatures across Southern Vermont, have warmed up for just plain rain across Bennington, and Springfield Vermont, however a half inch or more of ice has accumulated across many of these areas, and temperatures could drop back down and produce further icing. Snow totals have been lowered slightly but still remain within warning criteria instead of 6-12 inches, those areas I have lower to the 5-9 inch range, the Western Slopes of the Northern, and Central Green mountains and northeast will receive 9 inches or more of snow by the time the storm ends Friday afternoon. Some dry air entering the system, has helped cut back on snow totals for the entire region, but as I stated they still remain in Warning, and Advisory criteria for those areas under Warnings, and Advisories. All National Weather Service Official Alerts, and all JRWeather Alerts remain the same, as far as the areas covered by them. Below are updated precipitation maps. Stay tuned...
