Lake Effect Snow Continues For Portions Of St. Lawrence County...
This is going to be a very quick update on the lake effect snows only. I will have an update later on the clipper system and potential larger storm for Tuesday - Thursday Time Frame. Models continue to keep that system a headache to forecast.
National Weather Service Doppler radar continues to indicate light to moderate snow, with an occasional heavy burst falling across Souther St. Lawrence County in Northern New York. The heaviest snow has been confined to the southern portions of that county so the Lake effect snow advisory I put up is no longer in effect for Southern Franklin, and Western Essex County. But it does now include Southwestern St. Lawrence County, as well as continue for Southeastern St. Lawrence County. Currently isolated areas are seeing snowfall rates of up to an inch per hour. But more common quarter to half inch per hour rates are occuring. The heaviest snow is falling across the towns of Oswegatchie, Harrisville, and Pitcairn. Snow will continue across these areas a for a couple more hours before continuing to push further north, and weaken. Updates maps are below...
